Give your garden a trendy and design industrial look with the FLORES corten steel planter. Corten steel resists very well to UV, snow or rain, making it perfectly suitable for all regions. Get a unique rusted effect on each planter. The FLORES corten planter is one of the largest in the range. You can bring all your ideas to life.
Product highlights:
To accelerate oxidation, spray the Corten steel with a mixture of 1/3 hydrochloric acid and 2/3 water. Let it sit for 48 hours then rinse with clean water. You can repeat the operation if necessary.
Once the desired oxidation level is reached, we recommend applying an anti-rust product like Owatrol's Rustol to fix the oxidation.
Beware of rust drips during the oxidation phase, as they can damage the surface on which the planters are placed (tiling, wooden deck...)
No excess water should remain in the Corten steel planter. The material can then be corroded by rust due to a combination of oxygen and soil. Ensure adequate water drainage. Also, the use of clay granules is not recommended. Prefer lava stone or 35mm diameter pebbles in the bottom of the planter.

Salt significantly damages Corten steel.
Upon receipt, the planters must be stored out of their packaging to avoid disrupting the oxidation that can occur upon contact with moisture.
The superficial calamine plates are inherent to Corten steel production and are an integral part of the product.
